Bio

My name is Diego Fandos, I´m a Spanish filmmaker based in Prague (Czech Republic). I studied Journalism at the University of Navarra, and Filmmaking in FAMU International.

I´ve written and directed TV commercials, documentaries and the feature Cosmos, presented in the San Sebastian Film Festival.

My last two shorts -Under Pressure (2014) and Aurora (2017)- have been selected and awarded in more than 60 festivals around the world.

I have just finished a couple of new shorts (Tango and 29th of February) that will be released soon. The shining stars of 29th of February are Ramón Barea and Zorion Eguileor (The platform).

I have published two collections of short stories -Lemon Loves (2015) and Prague on February (2020)- and the handbook Writing for Short Film (2019, in English and Spanish).

I worked as script-analist in Morena Films and Lolafilms, in Madrid. I´ve been a jury member in different film festivals.

I work from 2008 as Screenwriting professor in Prague Film School (www.praguefilmschool.cz).
